Step out for Stroke
Come join us in Walton Gardens on Wednesday 16 May for our ‘Step Out for Stroke’ where we will be taking a leisurely stroll with stroke survivors and their friends and family around the gardens. The event will start at 11.00am and it is an opportunity to find out more about the Stroke Association and how they can help you.
The event is for people of all ages and abilities and is about promoting the work of the Stroke Association as they continue to support stroke survivors as well as reducing your own risk of having a stroke.
Everyone who takes part will receive a Step out t-shirt on the day; donations if wished will be welcomed and can be made to the Stroke Association. There will be stalls from The Reach for Health team, Millercare, OUCH the pain support group and more.
Jacquelyn Berry from the Stroke Association, said: “The Step out walk promises to be lots of fun for friends and family. Stroke is the killer disease we’ve ignored for too long in the UK. It has a massive and sudden impact affecting people both physically and emotionally. We believe in life after stroke and we need everyone’s support to change lives affected by stroke.”
